Purpose

The flyer type dual pay-off machine is used in the cable and wire industry. The task of the device is to return/unwind the workpiece in the form of uninsulated and insulated monocore and twisted core. The device is used as part of high-speed extrusion lines.

Operating principle

The device has 2 coils, alternating output. The recoil is inertia-free, the drum does not rotate, the core is removed from the drum passively using a removable rotating rim. This method allows the core to be payed-off at high speed stably, and also completely eliminates the jerking of the core that causes the hood. The core is removed inside a protective conical hopper with sound insulation.

The device is capable of transferring from an empty reel to a full reel automatically, on the go. Transfer is possible if the operator, when installing the coils, welds the end of the 1st coil to the beginning of the 2nd coil. There is a longitudinal hole inside the device through which the core can be transferred without any hindrance while moving.
